Dart Concrete Standard Water Tank
Our 22,500L (5000 gallon) Standard Concrete Water Tank is designed to provide dependable, long-term water storage for residential and rural properties throughout New Zealand.
Manufactured using high-strength certified concrete and reinforced with high tensile welded steel reinforcement, this tank is engineered for structural durability and reliable performance in demanding conditions.
This water tank is suitable for complete household water supply, rainwater harvesting systems, and rural water storage applications.
Built for Strength & Reliability
The 22,500L Standard tank is a one-piece precast concrete structure, eliminating weak joins and providing consistent structural integrity. Concrete’s natural insulating properties help maintain cooler internal water temperatures, while the enclosed environment reduces light penetration and assists in limiting algae growth.
The tank is fitted with a rebated 2-tonne lid designed for durability and long-term performance. There are five 100mm Inlet/Outlets available near the top and a brass 50mm balancing socket near the bottom which means there a plenty of options on tank positioning.

Delivery & Installation Requirements
Our 22,500L concrete water tanks are delivered throughout the Waikato and Bay of Plenty regions using our specialised HIAB truck. Whether your property is rural, lifestyle, or residential, proper site preparation is essential to ensure safe and efficient installation.
Site Requirements for Offloading:
The truck must park on a level surface for offloading, and there must be sufficient space for the truck to reverse up to the tank site.
The outrigger/stabilizing legs will extend up to a total of 10 meters. They must rest on solid ground, not fill, to ensure stability.
Offloading from the side or on uneven ground is not possible.
The crane's reach is approximately 3-4 meters from the rear of the truck, depending on the tank model and size, provided these conditions are met.
Please Ensure:
Clear Access: Remove any obstructions such as overhead wires, branches, or gate posts. Although the driver will take utmost care, we cannot be held responsible for damage resulting from restricted access.
Stable Ground: The ground must support up to 30 tons and be free of hazards like holes or drains. If the site is wet, please arrange for appropriate machinery.
Level Site and Foundation: Ensure an even distribution of weight on solid ground, not fill. Place digging material appropriately for truck access.
Crane Leg Stability: Extend crane legs on flat, level, and solid ground – not fill – preferably in compliance with NZS 3604.
Tank Site Preparation: Prepare a flat and level site, setting the tank onto a base of 7mm granular fines on compacted material. Box in the fines if there's a risk of washout, and ensure the area is free of protrusions.
Timing and Additional Support:
Please have your site prepared for our truck as we allow 30 minutes per tank on site.
Site preparation is the purchaser's responsibility, but we are happy to conduct a site visit or video call prior to delivery to assist you if it is feasible. Any site work by our company will be at your cost, and delays may incur extra charges.

FAQ

We regularly deliver throughout Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Auckland and even Waiheke Island. This includes all rural surrounding areas.
How long until I get my tanks?
We can generally deliver within a week or so of ordering. We are constantly making water tanks, these are not made to order which means we have a constant supply. Times may vary depending on time of year.
Can standard tanks be fully buried?
They can only be buried up to the top of the side wall (overflow level) with standard backfill. Up to 200mm of lightweight cover such as bark or scoria can be used for garden concealment.
Soil, earth, grass, or compacted material requires the Heavy Duty model.
Can you customise the tanks?
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. It depends on the type of customisation. Contact us if you have something specific in mind.
Do you make plunge pools?
No, not specifically. We can supply the tank without a lid. However, turning a tank into a pool is the customers responsibility. We cannot make these a custom height as the tanks are poured up-side-down.
Can the tanks be painted?
Customers are welcome to paint the tanks themselves using the correct products. Light colours are only permitted as it absorbs less heat
